Year 5 Enterprise Project – Beeswax wraps
Year 5 have prepared and carried out their own enterprise project. As part of their topic – Our Part in a Sustainable World – they manufactured beeswax wraps which they are going sell on a stall to all parents and friends of the school. The poster below, contains all the details needed. The children decided they would like to make beeswax wraps to save the amount of plastic use in our homes – they are a great alternative to one-use cling film. The children costed the materials and decided where to order them from. They then worked out the pricing, the method of making them and carried out production.
The children are keen for everyone to have the chance to purchase a beeswax wrap, with ALL profits going to FODA. Please put the date, Wednesday, 7th July 2021 after school, in your diary! FODA very kindly provided the money to carry out the enterprise project, so once the children have paid that back, the rest of the money will be pure profit to benefit our school. Thank you FODA.
