Lunchtime and After-school Clubs
We are pleased to offer some teacher led clubs in addition to the All-4-Sports opportunities. Teacher led clubs will be available during some lunch times or after school. All clubs will run until the end of the Autumn term and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Monday 12:30pm -1:00pm: Stories club – All year groups
Come along and share a story time with children from other year groups. Listen to and discuss stories and maybe even bring along one of your own to share.
Monday 3:15pm – 4:15pm: Drama – Year 2 and Year 3
Come along and join in with some drama games covering basic acting, singing and prop making as appropriate. We shall work towards a short production for parents. Places will be limited.
If any Year 5 or Year 6 children would like to support this club and can also commit to this after school time, please speak to Mrs Mulford.
Tuesday 12:00pm – 12:20pm / 12:40pm -1:00pm: Spelling Bee – Years 4, 5 and 6 and Years 2 and 3 (alternate weeks)
Following the popularity of a classroom game, this club will offer the chance to join in with a traditional ‘spelling bee’. Children will take turns trying to spell randomly chosen words. Participation in this could lead to selection for a CMAT inter-school competition (however, entering the competition is not compulsory for club members).
Wednesday 12:30pm – 1:00 pm: Games and Chess Club – All year groups
A lunch time club for playing Chess and other board games as well as socialising with children from all year groups. There will be a selection of games available. The children will learn different board games to play with friends. Please feel free to bring in a game of your own, labelled with name and class. No extremely noisy or electronic games though please.
Thursday 3:15pm – 4:00pm: Junior Choir Years 3 to Year 6
Following the success of our Junior Choir, it will continue to run this academic year with Mrs Hildyard. With a selection of songs to learn to sing, this will help all to keep in tune and learn different harmonies.
